Abstract
Following Hamas' attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 and Israel's direct military counter-offensive, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has flared into a full-scale war in the region that has claimed thousands of lives. Furthermore the aim of the study is to identify frames and biases in the media coverage that may have a significant impact on public perceptions of the conflict. In order to investigate this, the study adopts a mixed method approach,... (More)

Furthermore the aim of the study is to identify frames and biases in the media coverage that may have a significant impact on public perceptions of the conflict. In order to investigate this, the study adopts a mixed method approach, consisting of a quantitative content analysis combined with a qualitative framing analysis. The results suggest that British and Swedish media coverage of the Israeli -Palestinian conflict utilises various framing strategies. Future research should aim to increase the understanding of media framing and thus streamlining the identification of framing strategies that influence public perception of a specific issue. (Less)
