- Abstract
- This study explores how activism is expressed in commercial Swedish breakfast television, focusing on author interviews in TV4 Nyhetsmorgon. Drawing on theories of activism, infotainment, and media logic, it investigates how activist messages are articulated, adapted, and potentially compromised within the constraints of the breakfast TV format. Through an in-depth qualitative examination of eight cases based on quantitative content analysis of 34 author interviews, the study highlights the interaction between activist narratives and the commercialized, audience-centered framework of infotainment.
