Warmth of the past, design for the future - A study on the potential influence of tiled stoves
(2025) IDEL01 20241Industrial Design
- Abstract
- The aim of this project is to explore the tiled stove as a historical everyday object and examine its potential influence on contemporary design. The project further investigates direct heating using infrared panels.
The result is a fusion of tradition and innovation, combining the material and visual qualities of tiled stoves with contemporary heating technology. The final design consists of two variants: a larger freestanding unit and a smaller tabletop model, both integrating ceramics with infrared heating.
