- Abstract
- This thesis examines how the Italian party Fratelli d’Italia (FDI), generally regarded as a radical right-wing populist party, carries out its foreign policy while in government. The aim is to assess whether FDI´s foreign policy aligns the typical features of radical right populism or whether it instead shows signs of other types of populism, such as regionalist, market liberal or left-wing populism. The study focuses on five foreign policy actions in the areas of migration, finance and trade, both within and outside of the EU.
