Abstract (Swedish)
Fynden... (More)

(Less)

A quantitative study was conducted with 83 participants aged 15 to 25. Respondents estimated their exposure to positive and negative content about disability and their attitudes using the Attitudes Towards Disabled Persons Scale - Form O (ATDP-O). The results showed a relationship between negative exposure and more negative attitudes. However, no relationship was found between positive exposure and more positive attitudes. Despite this, participants showed positive attitudes on average according to the ATDP-O. The findings can be understood in relation to factors such as limited exposure time, the influence of algorithms, negativity bias, and culturally embedded attitudes. Significant relationships were identified between gender, age, and attitudes, while contact with people with disabilities showed no
significant impact. Future research should further explore which type of exposure most strongly influences attitudes towards people with disabilities. (Less)
