Through semi-structured interviews, the preschool teachers’ perspectives were shown to be appreciative of the introduction of preschool libraries in their respective preschools. It allows for more diverse literature, appealing to more children and makes it easier to promote reading. Furthermore, the teachers felt inspired and invigorated by the networking opportunities provided by the public library. The preschool library as a room functions differently depending on who is responsible, and this affects the childrens’ access to it, but reading as an activity is a common occurrence at all interview preschools.
