“Från globalt mål till nationell politik” Hur Agenda 2030:s mål 5 påverkar Rwandas jämställdhetspolitik

Abstract
This study looks at how Rwanda´s gender equality policies has been influenced by Agenda 2030, especially Sustainable Development Goal 5. Rwanda has made major efforts to increase women´s participation in politics. The study is based on quality research, using reports, policy documents and statistics. It applies Gender Development and the concept of gender mainstreaming as a framework to examine how gender politics is operated in Rwanda. The study aims to highlight the political structure and the practical work. The findings shows that Rwanda has taken big formal steps to promote gender equality on different levels in the society.
