- This research article addresses the discourse of the legalization of gambling in Thailand. Methodologically this article is a qualitative case study. It delves into the socioeconomic and political issues behind the dispute of legalizing gambling. A brief comparison between Thailand and other countries' handling of the problem of legalized gambling will be discussed. The institutional background and economic structure of the Thai gambling industry are perspectives from which this paper will mostly focus on.
