- Abstract
- From the beginning Parajett was a printing company which has developed into a graphical IT company. Today Parajett delivers complete communication solutions to their customers. The customers demand more flexible solutions and this generates more work in the programming department. High postage cost, small edition and poor security are some of Parajett’s problems. To solve these problems Parajet would like to rework the printfile once more and merge printfiles, which also lead to orders being merged.
The project is divided into two part, where two products are analysed, GMC’s PrintNet Transformer and SEFAs Document and Index Manipulation and the second part, where one of the products is used for test develop. In the analysing phase four testcases are sent to the suppliers. The testcases reveal how the two products solve different in-format, merging files, sorting and so on. Parajett choose to proceed with SEFAs product in terms of good support and high flexibility.
Kommunförbunden uses a routine which creates a lot of extra work in the print- and envelope- department and therefore this routine was chosen as testmaterial when developing. In the end of the project a large test, together with Parajetts businessystem and real data, was performed. The result satisfied Parajetts needs and personal in the print- and envelope- department were very positive and they experienced that time was saved and the level of security increased. (Less)
