Abstract
The purpose of this essay was partly to study research of drug-addicted women from a social constructive perspective, partly to describe and analyse the social construction of the drug-addicted woman in the scientists' studies of Sofia treatment institute. § What did the woman look like from a social construction perspective? § How did the scientists describe the woman's close relations during three important parts of life - childhood, motherhood and sexuality? § What did the scientists' construction of the woman look like on Sofia treatment institute? § How to understand the scientists' construction of the woman in the view of feminist research and the theory of the gendersystem? The purpose of this essay was partly to study research of drug-addicted women from a social constructive perspective, partly to describe and analyse the social construction of the drug-addicted woman in the scientists' studies of Sofia treatment institute. § What did the woman look like from a social construction perspective? § How did the scientists describe the woman's close relations during three important parts of life - childhood, motherhood and sexuality? § What did the scientists' construction of the woman look like on Sofia treatment institute? § How to understand the scientists' construction of the woman in the view of feminist research and the theory of the gendersystem? The disposition was a qualitative study of literature. The method for analysis was examination of written sources, and the themes were childhood, motherhood and sexuality. The theoretical reference was research of drug abuse, feministic research and theory. The perspective was social constructive. The main results were that the drug-addicted woman was constructed as a person who often was maltreated and exposed to sexual abuse both as a girl and as a woman. She often was in a bad psychical health and had a thin network. The woman often had a feeling of not being seen. (Less)
