- Abstract
- In the early 1900s the district Eneborg grew up in southeastern Helsingborg. No. 8 in the block called Sländan was more expensive than average houses in the district, directed against the new cemetery and intended for officials and others in the lower middle class. As many of our older buildings, Sländan 8 has large deficiencies when it comes to energy and one could make significant savings, both financially and environmentally, while increasing the living standard. In Sländan 8 the shortcomings shows mainly through the climate shell, but systems for heating and ventilation come into play as well. The heating system was originally a fireplace in each rooms+ but has been replaced with radiators, old radiators that do not work so well with the more modern heating system. The house is now protected as a building of cultural interest in order to preserve the appearance and historical value which, together with the own interest to preserve the building, considerably limits the actions on can take. The report focuses on insulation, window replacement, improvements to the heating system and installation of mechanical ventilation systems, as measures with the greatest potential for improvement.
