The UN is alas currently combating the problem through UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict and the establishment of the Special Representative to the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict. By primarily analyzing existing material authorized by these two organizations' battle against sexual violence during conflict, it was possible to identify two distinct strategies in use. One clear strategy is mobilizing the grassroots of society in an attempt to generate public opinion on the matter. This method is attained by highlighting the need to act and by enhancing the victim's personality. Secondly, a strategy aimed at both national and international decision-makers was revealed. By rhetorically uniting the need to fight sexual violence during conflict with the restoration of intemational peace and security, and by stressing women's security as supremely important to the functioning of society and the economy, this method attempts to mobilize decision-makers.
