During the work I found out that both research and the youth´s opinions points out the importance of aftercare. It is commented by the young people leaving care, existing research as well as by social workers, involved with after care of young people, that treatment out of home is practically useless if the youth do not get after care. It is important to work with both the young people leaving care and the surrounding environment that they will return to, including their family. It is also of great importance to involve the young people in their treatment and listen to their opinions. (Less)
