Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the French secularism, laïcité and its relation to freedom of religion. Based on objective information I will try to obtain legal and sociological perspective on the definition of religion, secularism and laïcité. In order to clarify the relationship between religion and laïcité I will be observing the subject by several sub- headings from this three following concepts below.
