Abstract
The aim of this thesis was to examine the relationship between leadership style and creative organizational climate. The aim was also to examine the relation between leadership style and work-related sense of coherence. The material for our study has been part of a project at the University of Lund, aimed to study organizational conditions for creativity and innovation. The information was gathered through a webbased survey. The sample consisted of 528 participants from a public sector in southern part of Sweden. Out of these 224 questionnaires were returned. The aim of this thesis was to examine the relationship between leadership style and creative organizational climate. The aim was also to examine the relation between leadership style and work-related sense of coherence. The material for our study has been part of a project at the University of Lund, aimed to study organizational conditions for creativity and innovation. Three questionnaires were used for the study; the leadership style questionnaire CPE (Change, Production, Employee-centered leadership style), the creative organizational questionnaire CCQ (Creative Climate Questionnaire) and the WSOC questionnaire (Work-related Sense Of Coherence).
The results of the study indicated that the employee-centered leadership style is highly correlated with the creative organizational climate. The employee-centered leadership style as well as the production-centered leadership style showed a high significant relation with the Work-related Sense Of Coherence. The result for the creative organizational climate indicated a high value, which was higher than the defined standard for a creative climate in general.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka ledarstilens samband med organisationens kreativa klimat. Studien avsåg även att undersöka sambandet mellan ledarstil och känsla av sammanhang på arbetet. Data inhämtades via ett pågående forskningsprojekt, vid Institutionen för psykologi vid Lunds Universitet, med syfte att kartlägga organisatoriska förutsättningar för kreativitet och innovation. Den slutgiltiga analysen visade att den relationsorienterade ledarstilen hade högst signifikans på det kreativa organisationsklimatet. Den arbetsrelaterade känslan av sammanhang visade
att den relations- och produktionsorienterade ledarstilen hade högst signifikant samband. Resultatet för det totala kreativa organisationsklimatet visade ett högt värde som låg över värdet, för vad som generellt definierar ett innovativt arbetsklimat.
