Abstract
English title: The singer’s image. An action research study of one-to-one vocal tuition.
The aim of this qualitative study was to explore and document church musicians’ vocal development. The study formed part of the larger project ”Students’ ownership of learning” and was carried out as an action research project where two church musicstudents in higher music education were followed during two academic years. The study
points to important aspects as well as problems in vocal tuition for musicians with a strong identity as instrumentalists. The results show positive effects on the students’ development of reflection, video documentation and stimulated-recall sessions.
