Some types of handicraft is however a appreciated and practiced hobby and during the recent years it’s has become trendy to make things yourself, to craft and to create. How can we support crafting and creative activities in our modern, squeezed and styled lives?
This was my initial question.
The aim of this project was to find a way to encourage smaller “every day”
handicrafting in our homes. I wanted to simplify, encourage and make the exercise of handicraft in your home easier.
During my research I found out that the biggest obstacle for many is to have a place to perform there crafting at. Hence I came to focus this project around creating a practical workspace/storage furniture.
This resulted in a special table, Ellös, with several functional details that should make home crafting easy, enjoyable and inspiring. Ellös can be used for many different types
of crafts and is designed to fit into your home environment without taking up too much space or attention. Ellös provides clever storage solutions, a durable working surface, electric sockets, easy cleaning and a comfortable working position. (Less)
