- This paper concerns the Youth House, Ungdomshuset, and the struggle over it 2006-2008. Arguing that the protests after the eviction of the squatted house created collective identities that are paradigmatic in relation to other social movements and using social movement research combined with marxist human geography the paper investigates the relation of rhizomatic structures, urban material conflicts and collective action. The rationality of violent and dramatic action, media logic and the appropriation of modern culture are basic building blocks of the paper.
