My research handles with the exclusion mechanisms and gender beliefs that are included in the public discourse of the concept of domestic violence and what pictures or expectations of the typical victim/perpetrator it creates. To answer my question I have used the discourse analytical tools on my data and on relevant previous research. My final conclusion is that there is a lack of knowledge and research in understanding of who the victims and perpetrators of domestic violence are. (Less)
