The questions, on which we based our study are: How can the conception of resilient children be described based on textbooks and autobiographies? Which children can be categorized as resilient children (maskrosbarn)? How are these children able to handle long-term stress?
In our comparisons we used four themes: Risk factors Protective factors Confidence, trust Social support from a grown up
We found that the main reason that these resilient children are able to handle long-term stress was different protective factors, and the most important was social support. (Less)
