(2011) NEKK01 20111Department of Economics
- Abstract
- This paper examines the broadband market in the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland). We will show that all mentioned countries have had similar developments in the usage of this technology. An analysis of the market shares in each country will be performed in order to find the main companies in each country. This will be followed by a regression analysis to explain the prices in this market. The theories that will mainly be focused are different forms of price discrimination and product differentiation to explain why the prices for broadband look as they do.
