- Abstract
- A growing field of research attempts to analyse and understand the tourism travel patterns, behaviours and motives of international students. However, there is no research on the subject in the Swedish higher education context. This paper launches an exploratory research into how, why and where international students in Sweden travel for tourism purposes. The paper uses semi structured interviews to gather qualitative data about the tourism habits of international Master’s students studying at Lund University. The paper develops a deeper understanding of international student travel behavior both within Sweden and outside Sweden.
