Abstract
User-Centered Design is not a complex notion, but it is a very challenging process for organizations to implement. Therefore this thesis is focusing on how User-Centered Design improves the usability of information system in practice, how user involved and in what way usability is ensured in a system up grading project in a Scandinavian energy company. In order to make the argument, we have collected normative data from the literature which has been discussed so far. In the meantime, the facts that we concluded from the interview analysis are also connected to the theoretical framework. Finally, we compare the theoretical finding with our empirical findings to conclude seven important UCD factors that contributed to improving the usability... (More)
