- Abstract

The armed conflict between Russia and Georgia is approached as a critical case, as it is a theory testing study. It is analyzed on the basis of the democratic peace proposition, to be more specific the minimum requirements imposed for a breach to be present. It is different parts, especially regime type, and not the entire conflict, that are analyzed.
A clear conclusion is drawn that a breach against the democratic peace proposition is not present in this case. (Less)
