- Abstract
- The Swedish law and policys concerning non-citizens are creating an impossible situation for undocumented migrants to gain access to basic human rights. The national law which is both contradictive and unclear concerning this group also creates difficulties for the individuals and organisations who are trying to supply access to basic rights.
The study is built on interviews of six people who in different ways are working in Sweden to support undocumented migrants, and their experience of the relation to the people they meet whilst working. The purpose of this essay is to explore the relation between givers and receivers of help and support in this context and how the relation affects the access to human rights. Also the concept of a... The conclusion of this essay evolves around the complexity of acting as a rights claim receiver and the contradictive struggles that frames the volunteer based work for undocumented migrants human rights in Sweden. (Less)
