Jämförelsestudie Abu Dhabi - Helsingborg
(2012)Programmes in Helesingborg
- Abstract
- Abu Dhabi and Helsingborg are two growing cities. Helsingborg is situated on the coast in southwest of Sweden and Abu Dhabi in the south east of the Arabian gulf in the UAE. The purpose of this study was to compare and study the current traffic situations in these cities and get an idea of how different parameters can vary between different places in the world. These parameters are then evaluated and used in the simulation program Cube to see their significance in the simulation program. The report consists of previously developed statistics and interviews with urban planning offices or traffic departments. The study has contributed to a deeper understanding of how simulation software works on urban characteristics and differences in... (More)

The purpose of this study was to compare and study the current traffic situations in these cities and get an idea of how different parameters can vary between different places in the world. The report consists of previously developed statistics and interviews with urban planning offices or traffic departments. The study has contributed to a deeper understanding of how simulation software works on urban characteristics and differences in traffic. Boundaries have been made based on the avaiable facts and data, the thesis scope in terms of credits and time limit. A priority of the parameters is made based on Rambölls interests of simulation and also what we thought was most relevant for a comparison between the cities. The study is written in Swedish. (Less)
