- Abstract
- Grouting of energy wells has previously not been a big issue. A few years ago, voices were raised from a couple of towns stating that the installation of these systems could potentially create a spreading of impurities. When in reality, very few of these systems creates problems, some towns keeps putting restrictions against open

This paper is looking to solve some of the problems related to grouting and spread knowledge to minimize unmotivated grouting. Some entrepreneurs chose to grout with rock flour. Because of older literature showing that using rock flour with the current method makes an unsuitable grouting material, a measurement of rock flours permeability was made during the grouting of a energy well. Due to the lack of field testing regarding permeability of an authorized
grouting material, a documentation of drilling and logging of a energy well was made. This lay as foundation to a methodology regarding the measurement of vertical permeability in energy wells. Results show that rock flour with current grouting method, where it is poured from the surface down the hole, undergoes separation which leads to a heterogeneous material by SGU regarded as having a to high permeability. This is strengthened by grain size analyzing showing a grain size interval between 0.0063–5.3 mm with a to high permeability. The dissertation further shows that grouting should be based on decisions made with knowledge and not assumptions and when motivated, a partly grouted borehole should be given a thought, hence it is cheaper and could give equal if not better results. föroreningsspridning.
energibrunnar i större grad än nödvändigt.
