The respondents who were interviewed for the study have also had different explanations of what honour-related violence means and implies. Some of the interviewees did not even use of the concept of honour-related violence, but felt that the concept was a new word that society has invented. It was also found that in the city of Malmö social workers are working very differently regarding women who have suffered or are at risk of being subjected to honour-related violence. Some social services had clear guidelines on how to work with it while others almost never encountered this problem and therefore had no knowledge of it. Most social services also worked preventively against honour problems but in different ways.
