Abstract
RGRM by Eurythmics – A study of the embodied learning by pulse and movement in elementary school
The purpose of this study is to investigate how RGRM (Ronnie Gardiner Rhythm and Music) is used in school teaching, from a Eurhythmics pedagogical perspective. RGRM is originally a method of treatment that is aimed at people with neurological damage, but is used to some extent in schools, among other things, to increase students' concentration and motor skills while learning. The study is a qualitative study based on classroom observations at an elementary school in Kungshamn that uses RGRM in teaching, as well as interviews with four people who work with RGRM and two people who work with eurhythmics. The results show that RGRM from an... (More)

The results show that RGRM from an Eurhythmics pedagogical perspective to some extent is similar to one of
the Eurhythmics part topic subjects – the metrics. Both methods include bodily movement, pulse, music and symbols, but in different ways. For example, there are differences between the methods in which way bodily movements are used. RGRM are using 18 bodily movements, in eurhythmics there is no limitation. Differences are also shown when it comes to the methodological approach, goals and objectives. (Less)
Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
