Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
This essay discusses trade fairs and the landscape which is built during the event based on Bitners (1992) servicescape. From our observational study we have discovered that there are three parties involved which will interact with each other in a temporary environment; organisers, exhibitors and visitors. The organisers can only control how the exhibitors interact with the visitors to a certain extent. This combined with the fact that the visitors mainly interact with the exhibitors results in a limited ability of the organisers to influence the visitors' experience. However, the overall impression and functionality of the landscape is the organiser's responsibility. They may influence the visitors' choice of path through fair grounds.... (More)

However, the overall impression and functionality of the landscape is the organiser's responsibility. They may influence the visitors' choice of path through fair grounds. The knowledge of the visitors' expectations and previous experiences is important in the planning of a trade fair. The organisers should adapt the trade fair landscape to the characteristics of the target audience. This essay sums up factors that are important to consider before and during the event to result in a trade fair where all parties' goals are achieved. This is summarised in the term exposcape. (Less)
