- Abstract
- I have conducted a survey about the number of horse farms in Lomma municipality, how they take care of their manure, their waste and what type of waste they generate. The survey aims to identify horse farms in the municipality and how they handle their manure and waste.
According to the questionaires the most common place of storage for the manure is on a concrete base, which prevents nutrient leakage from the storage site. Most farms store the manure for a year and then spread it out in the early autumn. The largest proportion of waste is silage plastic and paper bags. The second most common waste is metal and plastic from feeding buckets, containers, etc. The most metal waste is generated from used horse shoes. The horse owner sort and...
