Ansiktsuttryck i kontext - En studie i hur uppfattning av ansiktsuttryck ändras av emotionell kontext

- Abstract (Swedish)
(Less) - Abstract
- This thesis is supposed to, by large parts, replicate an earlier study made by
Carrera-Levillain and Fernandez-Dols (1994). This study is aimed towards facial
expression and how different emotional context might make us interpret the
expression wrongly. This is a quantitive study entirerly based upon a websurvey.
The content of the survey was built up by 18 pictures of faces, 10 of them of neutral
facial expression and 8 of different emotions, and 18 situational stories of different
emotional interpretation taken from Carrera-Levillain and Fernandez-Dols (1994)
original thesis. The people participating in our survey were randomized in to 1 of 3
different groups, (1) rate the faces only, (2) rate the stories only, (3) rate a... (More) - This thesis is supposed to, by large parts, replicate an earlier study made by

different groups, (1) rate the faces only, (2) rate the stories only, (3) rate a
combination of a face and a story. 8 of the combinations were made incongruent.
The ratings were done by filling out two 9 point forms, one rating your
Positive/Negative feeling and the other your Arousal level. The results showed that
the face was the dominating factor in the combination. The rating of the
combination was closer to the lonely face than to the lonely story. (Less)
