Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine how social problems are constructed through the power of the written word.
By studying 23 cases of 3§ LVU (Care of Young Persons Special Provisions Act)the aim was to try to determine how young boys and girls antisocial behavior were described depending on their gender.

The study has been carried out through a social constructionist erspective that focuses on gender and how it is being constructed in our society. By using discourse analysis my goal was to understand how words could create
differences in gender and how these differences was beeing expressed.
