To match this, politics also need to be global. The purpose of this study is to propose a policy model that will demonstrate how a country or a region can work for sustainable development and harmonize a concept of governance that will embrace UN, national and local obligations and prerequisites. The idea is that the sustainable development goals (SDGs) agreed upon in the UN are accepted and implemented at the national and local levels. One post-2015 sustainable development goal is to “strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development” with targets like “enhance policy coherence for sustainable development” and “enhance the global partnership for sustainable development complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technologies and financial resources to support the achievement of sustainable development goals in all countries, particularly developing countries”.
Government policies play a crucial role in determining how a country or a region will develop. To understand the mechanisms of investments in different sectors as well as how to establish a policy, select and involve those actors that will define and help achieve the goals, will make a change.
