Abstract (Swedish)
In 2017 the European Commission will implement a new regulation on organic farming. The

A few positive aspects of changes to regulation are presented, but the overall impression is that
the changes risk undermining organic farming. The proposal could potentially result in reduced
profitability, decreased growth and fewer conversions to organic production. From a democratic
point of view the importance of interest organisations is underlined as they have both an
informative and a representative function. (Less)
