Manuella cykelmätningar - En analys av metoder som används i praktiken med förslag till förbättring
(2015) VTT820 20142Transport and Roads
- Abstract
- This thesis addresses different ways of measuring bicycle flows and focuses on the manual methods of conducting these measurings. The theory behind the methods is also introduced and applied to an actual intersection in order to test how well the theory can be applied to reality. Furthermore, the methods that today are in use for measuring bicycle flows in Lund and Malmö are explained and compared by applying these to an intersection where the actual flow during three full days has been determined.
The effects of weather conditions are described in theory and investigated in the studied intersection. Furthermore, the variation over the year, week and day is described in theory, the latter being validated by experimenting with the data... In closing, conclusions and recommendations based on the findings of the thesis are presented for consideration. (Less)
