Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to obtain:
• How ÅVS- methodology works and is applied. • Identification of the problem and its causes. • A discussion of the results with possible counter measurements.
The thesis consists of four main parts: Part 1 -Literature study, Part 2 -Implementation of ÅVS, Part 3 -Interview, Part 4 -Conclusion
The traffic analysis of Kalmar roundabout shows that the traffic load from Öland is very high at a rate of 1.33. Traffic analysis from the roundabout on Öland indicates that the traffic from Kalmar has a load rate of 1.10 A value above 0.8 indicates that a road has poor standard and high amount of traffic congestion.
Conclusions from the study on ÅVS- methodology, is that it should be carried out in groups of... (More)

Traffic analysis from the roundabout on Öland indicates that the traffic from Kalmar has a load rate of 1.10 A value above 0.8 indicates that a road has poor standard and high amount of traffic congestion.
Conclusions from the study on ÅVS- methodology, is that it should be carried out in groups of several people that have various special skills and experience. The study has also shown how complex traffic behavior can be. Since it is mainly in traffic that society interacts on a large-scale and high-risk level, it is difficult to get exact results from traffic analysis. Analysis and estimations are still beneficial because they, despite their potential margins of error still give an indication of the problem causes. (Less)
