- Abstract
- This essay should be regarded as an artifact study and as a foundation for continued research. As very little has been written about younger blackware, the focal point of this study is on key problems such as dating, function and production. The material of the study is from the excavation of Kv. Apotekaren 4, carried out 1979-1980. The stratigraphy of the site was well dated with dendrochronology and coins and that acts as a base for the chronology of the vessels of this essay. The essay consists of three parts, which are background, analysis and discussion. The biggest part of the essay however, is the catalogue, where the vessel are organized in chronological order and not according to the shape of the mouth sherds. The most important... (More)
