The two main questions to be answered in the study is: “How is the goal of social mix being implemented in the development of residence?” and “How do different actors involved with the development of Frihamnen interpret the goal of social mix and housing?”
The results have been compared to see if there are similarities or differences among the informants and the city documents. The results show that there will be a variation of prices, sizes and tenures to make it possible for a social mix to develop. It is a common view that mixed housing creates social mix, and that this will create a less segregated, and more tolerant and just city, and Frihamnen can be a pilot project to try out new ideas as a way to generate a socially mixed urban area.
