Fuktberäkning av väggar med framtida klimatdata

- Abstract
- The purpose of this report was to study how two common types of wood stud walls in Sweden will handle the future climate in Sweden, Gothenburg, out of a hydrothermal point of view. These two walls were analyzed with simulations in the hydrothermal calculation software WUFI with varying parameters. The first cases of the simulations were the so called base cases where moisture- and heat-sources was simulated to imitate normal conditions. The next step of the report was to evaluate how the walls handle varying conditions. The cases that was simulated were: • Seepage of moisture from the inside of the house.
• Reduced air circulation in the air gap.
• Increased absorption of wind-driven rain. • North façade.
• Varying thickness of the façade... • Reduced air circulation in the air gap.
• Increased absorption of wind-driven rain. • North façade.
• Varying thickness of the façade insulation. The approach to evaluate the risk of mould growth were co-using the Mould Resistance Design (MRD) with the folos-diagram and a diagram that describe the longest period when RH exceeds RHcrit. These three methods complete each other so it could be possible to make a conclusion. Both wall system will cope with the future climate if they are built in a proper professional manner. But it is of utmost importance to construct dense façades so that the wind-driven rain does not penetrate for larger amounts, and it is a well-functioning air gap that can wick away moisture. (Less)
