A number of questions are formulated, asking which female monster stereotypes can be identified in the character of Drusilla, how she is represented as a woman and how this is problematic. The results shows that she is in fact presented in a sexualizing way that can be compared to different stereotypes. Many of the scenes that are analyzed focuses on her body, monstruosity and sexuality, She answers to higher male authourity, and the relationships to her male friends often implies romance or sex. The essay problematizes the representation of the female anthagonist and monster, and suggests that she, in contrast to the female protagonist, is portrayed in a way that is objectifying and sexualizing.
