- Uppsatsens syftar till att undersöka det mångfacetterade begreppet topos. Topos fyller sin funktion genom att synliggöra vilka grundläggande tankemönster, värderingar och normer talare appellerar till. För att förstå topos har fem inlägg ur debatt om ekologisk odling analyserats. Resultatet visar att en till ekologisk odling positivt inställd avsändare värdesätter kvalitet och hälsa hos det som är levande (människor, djur och natur), medan motsatt sida mäter värde i förhållande till kapacitet och kvalitet. Sistnämndas kärnpunkt är samhället som en institution. Uppsatsen kan hjälpa oss som konsumenter att göra rätt val i fråga om ekologisk odling utifrån våra normer och värderingar. - The purpose of this paper is to examine the elemental patterns, values and norms appealed to in debate as to whether an organic production is preferred or not. To accomplish the purpose of the study, five posts have been analyzed, using topos (argumentative approaches and forms of argument) analytically. The results shows, that while those who sympathize organic farming value health of all living things (humans, animals and nature), the opposite side believes the society as a functioning institution to be the most important matter. The former believes quality, the Earth and its living organism to be superiors, while the latter refers to the quantity, and ranks the value based on capacity.
