The paper first analyses secondary data related to data privacy, data protection legislature, usability and public opinion towards electronic and online voting to determine whether any of these are potential factors. Primary data is then presented in the form of interviews with politicians and experts from each of the four previously mentioned nations. Each are questioned on why their nation were able, or have not been able, to adopt online or electronic voting. The factors for each nation are presented in the results, with a brief discussion on the identified factors in the final conclusion chapter. (Less)
