The purpose of this group was to represent and be the voices of other youths in the city. Before the process of building these new equal places began, the participants were given education in what equality is, and how to think from an equality perspective. I conducted two group interviews to reach the aim of this study.
The result showed that the group defined equality rather alike, it being, that women and men should have the same rights and ability to influence equally. The participants also claimed that what makes a place equal depends on the physical appearances of the place and the activities that are provided on the place. The participants meant that to make a place equal you have to combine different physical appearances that attract both girls and boys, such as the colours pink and blue. If you only have pink then only girls feel confident to visit the place respective blue will only attract boys. (Less)
