Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate if there is an association between an early debut of alcohol and the development of alcohol- and drug use among adolescents in the second grade of gymnasium, in Skåne. The purpose was also to investigate if there is a connection to be found between an early debut of alcohol and the mental health among the adolescents and if so, how it looks like. In addition the study highlights differences between the genders.
All together 7949 individuals in the second grade of gymnasium participated in the survey 2016 and 9917 individuals participated in the survey 2012. The study shows that there is a significant association to be found that those who start drinking before 13 years of age is more likely to... (More)
