- Abstract
- Based on a qualitative approach, this study examines and problematizes how employees in a flexible organization, through the internal communication community,
consolidate and renegotiate the organization's identity. Furthermore, it creates
an understanding of the flexible employees ability to co-create, and their view on
the importance of being able to identify themselves with the organization. The
study is based on a case where ethnographic observations and qualitative interviews
are used as methods. The results show that the internal communication
within the organization is limited, which means that the employees contribute to
the identity primarily by creating local identities. Furthermore, the study shows

that employees feel excluded in the studied organization, which in part is based on
their role as flexers, and further limits their contribution to the organizational
identity. The study also shows that the employees find it difficult to identify with the organization, but that they have an interest in being able to do so. (Less) - Popular Abstract (Swedish)

(Less)
