Redovisningsregelverk – Något som leder till ekonomiska konsekvenser?
(2017) FEKH69 20171Department of Business Administration
- Abstract (Swedish)

(Less) - Abstract
- Purpose: The purpose of this project is to study whether accounting according to the K2- or K3-regulation framework has any economic consequences for real estate companies.
Methodology: The project is based on a deductive research approach and follows a quantitative research method. The survey is divided into two parts whose material comes from 109 real estate companies’ annual reports.
Theoretical perspectives: The paper is based on the theory of economic consequences, in terms of changes in financial statements and key performance indicators, and the theory of accounting as a social construction in order to examine and describe the result.

Theoretical perspectives: The paper is based on the theory of economic consequences, in terms of changes in financial statements and key performance indicators, and the theory of accounting as a social construction in order to examine and describe the result.
Empirical foundation: The first part of the survey examines annual reports from real estate companies that have changed their regulation framework from K2 to K3. The second part examines annual reports from a selection of real estate companies that either apply the K2- or K3-regulation framework.
Conclusions: The survey indicates that there are economic consequences of the two regulation frameworks. However, it does not show any economic consequences of a general nature. They tend to be individual and depend on elements in the individual company. (Less)
