- In this paper two different concepts are analyzed: information disorder and cooperation. Psychological warfare has become an increasingly pressing problem during the past few years. Several different notions are being used within the concept, including disinformation, misleading information and information disorder. Problems occur when one has a concept, but no legal definition for it. Hence is the aim of this thesis dual, one aiming to study how the concept of information disorder is defined by the Swedish authorities and the second one seeking to study how the authorities co-operates around the concept. The paper is a qualitative case-study, which uses interviews as it’s source for empirical data. The aim is furthermore to describe the... (More)

The paper is a qualitative case-study, which uses interviews as it’s source for empirical data. The aim is furthermore to describe the co-operation among three selected government authorities using organizational theories. Alongside that the paper conducts a conceptual analysis trying to find a joint definition of the concept information disorder. The study highlights new challenges to Sweden’s civilmilitary defense and its administrative model. A joint definition among the three actors is not found, but a joint notion of the concept is. Regarding co-operation, the study finds how the authorities co-operate, but lands in a conclusion that the process is a long way off from being fully effective. (Less)
