Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to gain a greater understanding of how “nätvandrare” and “chat supporters” experience the problem of cyberbullying based on a norm perspective. We are using these two groups as temperature sensors. We are studying young people from “Nätvandrare” and “chatsupporters” point of view. Cyberbullying is a subject that is constantly growing in line with digitalization. In this thesis we will discuss how the norms and laws work together, and sometimes does not work. We will be using neutralization techniques and intersectional perspectives with power structure to analyze what the “nätvandrare” and “chat supporters” says. We are also using the earlier research to analyze cyberbullying and anonymity. We found out that anonymity is a big problem, both in earlier research and in the interviews it was raised as a reason for cyberbullying. We are using norms to analyze why. The thesis also brings up law and gender and discuss it in different angles. (Less)
