- Denna studie har genomförts på Tetra Pak för att studera deformation i vätskekartong under vikning.
När en förpackning formas i fyllmaskinerna viks kartongen enligt biglinjerna. Det finns ett stort intresse av att studera vikprocessen då den är avgörande för den slutgiltiga kvaliteten av förpackningen. Matematiska modeller används för att simulera kartong men dessa kräver verkliga mätningar och data för kalibrering och verifikation.
En metod som använder sig av det optiska flödet i videosekvenser av vikningsprocessen av kartong, som fångar de geometriska förändringarna som materialet utsätts för, har tagits fram. Matematiska modeller används för att simulera kartong men dessa kräver verkliga mätningar och data för kalibrering och verifikation.
En metod som använder sig av det optiska flödet i videosekvenser av vikningsprocessen av kartong, som fångar de geometriska förändringarna som materialet utsätts för, har tagits fram. Fält såsom förskjutning, deformationsgradient, töjningstensor, Jacobianen av deformationen, med mera, kan fås för faktiska kartongprover. Vidare kan delamineringszoner och öppningar i kartongen fås automatiskt. Alla mått och kvantiteter kan ges som en funktion av tid eller vikningsvinkel, vilket möjliggör studier av hur dessa translaterar och propagerar.
Metoden har verifierats genom att applicera den på renderingar av simuleringar av vikningsprocessen, där facit finns tillgängligt.
Kvantitativa och kvalitativa analyser har gjorts på videosekvenser av vikningsprocessen av vätskekartong. De mest relevanta kvantiteterna, fälten, och måtten har extraherats för alla prover. Quantitative and qualitative analyses have been performed on video sequences of the folding process of paperboard. The most relevant quantities, fields, and metrics have been extracted for all samples. An analysis of delamination zone area as a function of folding angle has also been conducted. - För att garantera kvaliteten och hållbarheten på livsmedel vill man på Tetra Pak, som är världsledande inom livsmedelsförpackningar, veta vad som händer med förpackningsmaterialet då förpackningen formas. En ny metod har tagits fram som automatiskt mäter hur ett material beter sig i verkligheten via videor på materialet i rörelse.
